El reto
La empresa de formación online había crecido rápidamente y su plataforma basada en Moodle no soportaba la carga. Los videos se cortaban con mas de 500 usuarios simultáneos, la interfaz era confusa para alumnos no técnicos, no había gamificación y la tasa de completitud era solo del 22%. Necesitaban una plataforma a medida qué escalara a cientos de miles de alumnos sin sacrificar la experiencia.
Nuestra solución
Desarrollamos un LMS desde cero con React y Node.js. La infraestructura de video usa transcodificacion serverless con AWS MediaConvert y distribucion via CloudFront con edge caching global. Implementamos un sistema de gamificación con rachas diarias, badges desbloqueables y leaderboards semanales qué dispararon el engagement. El motor de learning analytics con xAPI detecta patrones de abandono y activa notificaciones automáticas personalizadas. Todo el frontend cumple WCAG 2.1 AA y soporta SCORM 2004 para importar contenidos de terceros.

WCAG 2.1 AA and EAA
The European Accessibility Directive (EAA) requires educational platforms to comply with WCAG 2.1 level AA from June 2025. Keyboard navigation, NVDA/VoiceOver compatibility, minimum 4.5:1 contrast, video subtitles and audio description.
SCORM 1.2 / 2004
Full support of SCORM standards for importing and exporting content between LMS platforms. Progress tracking, scores, study time and completion status. Compatible with content created in Articulate, Captivate and iSpring.
xAPI (Tin Can API)
The successor to SCORM for advanced learning analytics. Records any learning experience (not just within the LMS): videos watched, documents downloaded, practical exercises, simulations and in-person activities. Own Learning Record Store (LRS).
LTI 1.3 / Advantage
Learning Tools Interoperability for securely integrating external tools: code editors, virtual labs, video conferencing tools, collaborative whiteboards. OAuth 2.0 authentication and bidirectional grade passing.
GDPR and educational data
Protection of minors data (parental consent for <14 years in Spain), academic performance data, data minimization, right to be forgotten and portability. Retention policies adapted to certification obligations.
Digital certificates
Issuance of verifiable digital credentials according to the Open Badges 3.0 standard and European Digital Credentials (EDCI). Public verification, shareable on LinkedIn and professional networks, with acquired competency metadata and training hours.
